December is Respiratory Protection Month

SAFETY ACTIVITY: Respirators protect you from airborne contaminants that can get into your mouth, throat and lungs.  If you do work that requires a respirator then your company must have a Written Respiratory Protection Program as part of your Company Accident Prevention Program. All employees will be trained on the selection, use, limitations, and maintenance of respirators per the manufacturers instructions. Employees shall only use respirators, cartridges, and filters on the included respiratory selection chart.

SUPERVISORS: Review the Respiratory Selection chart in the Respiratory Program and make sure all activities and respirators are listed.

REFERENCE: WAC 296-842-16005

FREQUENCY: RESPIRATORY PROTECTION, MEDICAL EVALUATIONS, AND FIT TESTING - 2-4 Hours (ANNUAL)

NOTE: Contact nicasafety@gmail.com for training program quote.
