Heat Stress Refresher

SAFETY ACTIVITY: Review your Written heat-related illness program, especially now as the weather heats up.

SUPERVISORS: May 1st — September 30th each year, our company institutes this heat-stress plan at these outdoor temperature action levels:

52˚ - Nonbreathing clothes including vapor barrier clothing or PPE such as chemical resistant suits.

77˚- When wearing double layer clothing- including jackets, sweatshirts and coveralls.

89˚- For all other clothing.

LOOK FOR THE SIGNS OF HEAT RELATED ILLNESS WHILE WORKING IN THESE CONDITIONS. DRINK LOTS OF WATER. ACCLIMATE TO HOT CONDITIONS.
