March is Motor Vehicle Safety Month

SAFETY TOPIC: Cover at least these subjects in reference to your company's Vehicle/Equipment Safety Plan:

1. Mandatory use of safety belts in vehicles and on equipment.

2. Avoid using cell phones while driving.

3. No texting while driving.

4. Avoid other potentially distracting activities such as eating, drinking, or adjusting non-critical vehicle controls while driving.

5. Obey all traffic signs and speed limits.

6. Always be aware of pedestrians and give them the right-of-way.

7. Secure your load.

SUPERVISORS: Safety Activity: Complete a Vehicle Inspection Form for each class of vehicle your company uses.
