The EPA and WA State requires all contractors who may disturb lead paint on pre-1978 homes to become a Certified Renovator.

The fines hurt: Up to $10,000 for each violation!

To become a Certified Renovator, you must have someone from your firm take an 8-hour course with a hands-on component. Your firm must then apply for certification as a firm with an on staff Certified Renovator.
